'Sweet November' Boasts New Tracks From Nicks, Cole

from billboard.com

The soundtrack to "Sweet November," a remake of the 1968 Anthony Newley-starring film of the same name, will feature new music by Stevie Nicks and Paula Cole, along with a host of previously released tracks.

Nicks, who is expected to release a new solo album this spring or early summer, contributes the song "Touched By An Angel," while Cole offers "Heart Door" to the set, due out Feb. 6. Newcomer Celeste Prince's "Wherever You Are," which also sees its debut on the Warner Sunset/Reprise soundtrack, was written specifically for the film.

The new tracks on the set appear alongside Enya's single "Only Time," as well as recent cuts by BT, Robbie Williams, Barenaked Ladies, Amanda Ghost, and others, as well as classics by Jackie Wilson and Bobby Darin. All of the songs on the soundtrack, except Tracy Dawn's "You Deserve To Be Loved," appear in the film.

Starring Keanu Reeves in the Newley role opposite Charlize Theron, who reprises a role originated by Sandy Dennis, "Sweet November" opens Feb. 16 in U.S. theatres.

Here is the track list for the "Sweet November" soundtrack:

  • Enya, "Only Time"
