Mal motzig, mal kindlich

[English Version below]

Weitere "Rumours"-Hits wie "Second Hand News", "Don't Stop", "Never Going Back Again" und "Go Your Own Way" sind unausweichlich. Dazwischen immer wieder Nummern der neuen CD "Say You Will" – mal sanft, mal laut, oft hart und extrem rockig oder mal unharmonisch, versetzt mit Nicks" persönlichen Eindrücken von den Ereignissen des 11. September.

In "Eyes Of The World" bietet er ein rockiges Intro.

[English Version]

"Fleetwood Mac", legendary pop skirt volume of the seventies with foundation date in 1967, celebrated a magnificent prelude of her European tour in the Frankfurt festival hall.

70 concerts had given them before in the USA, now they are first for twelve years again in Germany. "The Mac is back" ? with this saying said goodbye volume leader Mick Fleetwood on Sunday evening from about 7000 fans in the Frankfurt festival hall. They had enjoyed in 2,5 hours of old and new hits of "Fleetwood Mac".

There they are again, in honour turns grey like her audience and almost in the occupation in which they had recorded one of the most-bought albums of the history of music, "Rumours": volume leader Mick Fleetwood in the midst of an imposing drums construction, like an old sea bear in the steering wheel of his ship, on the right in front guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, on the left the blond, long-haired singer Stephanie "Stevie" Nicks in the black dress and behind it bassist John McVie, the quiescent pole, his position barely leaves. The volume 1997 had cancelled ex Christine.

Now Stevie Nick takes over their gesanglichen part whose presence on the stage demands to the devotion. This deep, smoky voice, sometimes motzig, sometimes childish, has barely suffered about the years, even if the 55-year-old meanwhile the higher tones control less. Nevertheless, this voice is a characteristic feature of "Fleetwood Mac". And none of the musicians was solo one day as successfully as the volume as a unity.

The audience cheers when the musicians from the darkness of the sober stage step and give "The Chain" to the best. Further "Rumours" hits like " Second hand news ", " Don't stop ", "Never Going Back Again" and "Go Your Own Way" are inevitably. In between over and over again numbers of the new CD " Say You wanting " ? sometimes gently, sometimes according to, often hard and extremely rocking or sometimes unharmoniously, moves with Nicks " to personal impressions of the events 11th September. Always supports from the excellent guest's musicians in the keyboard, piano, in the guitar, both Perkussionisten and ladies of the background choir. Four "Macs" are full before play desire. Mick Fleetwood beats enthusiastically laughing and with zeal his drums and at the end of the concert on his electronic Pads fixed to the belly to offer a solo insert, Nicks and Buckingham, both ex-Lover, always search the look of the other, get on blind, above all in the duet.

Guitarist Lindsey Buckingham is the man who can play so amazing quick Soli without Plektrum, only with the fingers. In "Eyes Of The World" he offers rockiges Intro. Typically for the songs written by him are many longer pieces which increase dramatically and end in guitars tirades. This is nothing for young listeners who already have after a three minutes song enough.

"The Mac is back" calls it still up to the 10th December in Germany and Great Britain.
