What an amazing day. The sun was out and there was a cool breeze in the air. It was my perfect day. I purchased tickets for the Fest as soon as I heard Fleetwood Mac would be there and presented them to my husband as a Birthday present as we both love the band and have since the 70's. We arrived around 12:50 pm and I was able to get right up front on the first row and the barricade which I always prefer because I am very short. I told my husband to get a sandwich and a bottle of water while I held our place as I was not moving from that spot. Fleetwood Mac got on stage at 4:45. I must tell you this was such a wonderful concert and something I will always remember. I have seen them as a band a couple of times and I have seen Stevie many times singing solo and Lindsey last August in his solo concert. Standing in the crowd with the anticipation building I could barely contain myself. Right before the show started I heard a girl in her 30's or 40's a couple of people away from me say, "well lets just see how they do - sometimes these old band disappoint." Really? I felt honored and privileged just to be able to share the air with them! Needless to say they did not disappoint singing one hit after another leaving the crowd feeling united and happy. Lindsey Buckingham is simply amazing on the guitar. His rifts are like candy. Mick Fleetwood has such a charming personality that you just have to love him while John McVie is quite and ever present on the bass. Stevie Nicks is sweet perfection. She did a wonderful rendition of Gold Dust Woman. At one point after singing another hit, she swallowed a bug! A BIG NEW ORLEANS BUG! She joked about it and said "if this next song really sucks LIndsey will sing the lead." It was Gypsy and it didn't suck to the dismay of the the girl who was in her 30's or 40's a couple of people away from me. As time would have it all good things must come to an end and after 2 and 1/2 hours of all their wonderful hits and even a new one by the name of "Sad Angel" they had to go. I could have stood all night. Stevie Nicks thanked the crowd for their support over the past 35 years and exclaimed to them that it was "all your fault" that they were up there making the music. No one left disappointed. Thank you to the entire band for such a wonderful lifetime of music. Love ya'll

My husband and mine’s 7th time for Fleetwood Mac concert, plus 5th for Stevie. My brother’s second show. I told him it would be much better since when he saw them Lindsey had quit the band. It was one of the best days of my life – blue cloudless skies, sea gulls flying overhead (Gulf coast) – played all the greatest hits and all the rock oldies. Been a fan of Fleetwood Mac since before Stevie and Lindsey joined – first concert in 1976. Funny part of the show – a bug flew into Stevie’s mouth during a new/old song “Without You”. I noticed her cover her mouth during the song. She said “a Big New Orleans bug just flew into my mouth and I need coffee. If I can’t get this bug taste out of my mouth Lindsey will have to sing lead on the next song. “ John McVie hugged her as she went backstage, Mick, John and Lindsey kind of jammed for a couple minutes, Stevie returned with a large cup with a straw and started singing “Gypsy”. Kind of a strange song for Lindsey to have to sing Lead!! The remainder of the concert for great – they have to shut down Jazz Fest. At 7:00. They played two hours and twenty minutes, but did not sing Silver Springs, maybe due to the NEW ORLEANS BUG incident. I am so grateful to be able to see them and hopefully many more…
