We attended the Golddust tour stop at the Santa Barbara Bowl last Friday, and my, what a great concert!! We could not be more impressed, to, with Stevie's back-up band. Tommy says that he'd never been so amazed at a bongos player!!

I was at the Santa Barbara Bowl concert last Friday night (7/29). Firstly I must say how wonderful it was to see Stevie in top form. I have been an avid fan for many, many, many years. Let's say I knew of Stevie when she was billed with Lindsay Buckingham long before Fleetwood Mac. Concerts have been a huge part of my life for very many years and I have to say the Stevie last Friday was awesome. I haven't ever heard her voice be so strong and clear in a very long time. She looked great and really seemed to enjoy being on stage. It was also great that her dad was in the audience. He really must be so proud of her. The only disappointment was the overly price concert program. There were very few pictures of her and not alot of information written. It's great that she covers the band with photos, but I bought it because I'm interested in her. I collect concert programs and I have to say this one was very disappointing. Overall, however, she was fabulous and it's great to see she's doing so well and enjoying life once again. Thanks for listening and keep on singing.

Santa Barbara Bowl - July 29, 2005 - Stevie Nicks concert was a dream come true for me to see Miss Stevie, and this was a night I will never forget. I do not like going to concerts, I do not like crowds, we live a pretty simple life - but I told myself if I ever had an opportunity to see Miss Stevie I had to go. I have grown up with her music, we even have the album Buckingham/Nicks pre Fleetwood Mac. Her music is timeless, her energy is amazing and you can feel her soul and spirit. If I ever had the opportunity to meet her I would want to say to Miss Stevie - Thankyou for your gift and sharing it with us. When she said her Dad who is 80 is on the tour with her and is going to be doing the rest of the tour with her - how amazing is that - that was so sweet. P.S. Vanessa Carlton - all I can say is watch out.

Stevie Nicks, thank you so much for your awesome performance at the Santa Barbara County Bowl last night. You dazzled us with your beauty, energy, sincerity, and sensational music! The band and back-up singers were excellent as always. Also, thank you for reminding us to love one another. Please come back to Santa Barbara soon!!

The evening was beautiful in the Santa Barbara mountains, and of course, so was Stevie! She was so very beautiful, and her voice was so strong!! I have to say that she sounded the BEST I have ever heard her! I have seen her in this area 3 times in the last 3 years, and one year during the Shangri-LA tour she was very ill, but battled it out and gave us a great show...but this time...she had so much energy and her voice I swear was flawless. She really seemed to have fun. Beauty and the Beast was so awesome, I've never heard that played live before and I cried. One cool thing was that my sister-in-law and I had orchestra seating and we noticed an older gentlemen in a wheel chair being escorted over to the side stage area to have a smoke, and then he was escorted right behind us, and I told my sister-in-law that I thought that was Stevie's dad. So we tried to steal a couple glances, without looking to obvious of course, and I was like "oh yea, that's Stevie's nose for sure, oh my gosh I can totally see it", but we weren't going to bother the man...so later Stevie dedicated 2 songs to her dad who WAS in the audience (one of course was Landslide and the other was a Bonnie Raitt song which rocked!) so by that time we were pretty positive, but we did not disturb him...we just asked the usher when we left it the gentleman was Mr. Nicks...and indeed he was!!! That was so great to see her daddy!!! So Stevie...you're lovely as always, and I will always come see you as long as you tour! Rock ON! Oh, one more thing...thank you so much for caring for our soldiers! YOU are a true Patriot in my view, and a real hero for being on the side of our hero's!! My son is in the Coast Guard guarding our boarders, and I love the fact that you are here for our boys!!! We love you!

It's now Sunday night and I'm still on a high from Friday's show. Awe and disbelief that after all of this time Stevie could sound so good! I've seen her numerous times through the years going back to 1977, and I nearly didn't go to this show- I am SO glad I did- she sounded better than in the 80's- the band was tight and ROCKIN'!!! Stevie looked very happy and comfortable up there. Enchanted is a wonderful opener and it sounded excellent. Outside the Rain was a standout for me (she really belted out the "Look at my eyes, touch my face"....) The piano player was superb- the opening to Rhiannon was incredible. Waddy was spot on. All of the players were so impressive. My only complaints are the idiots in the crowd who continue talking throughout...to the point of yelling to be heard over the music. What is up with that? I try to block it out but it is so rude and it seems especially bad here in my hometown venue. We also have a problem with security nazis, who blocked the aisles during Edge of Seventeen -very few folks were able to shake Stevie's hand. Anyhow, I digress. Landslide was a visual stunner- the video montage was mesmerizing, I wanted to watch Stevie sing but the old footage was so well put together and brought back a flood of memories.....Thank You Miss Nicks for bringing your magic to Santa Barbara.

I took my sister to the Santa Barbara show last Friday night. My sister, who introduced me to the music of Stevie Nicks in 1975, had never seen her in concert! What a treat for her it was!!! From the moment Stevie stepped on stage, we were both mesmerized by her beauty and her powerful voice. I think this was my 13th time seeing Stevie in concert and I must say it was one of the best yet. I just could not keep my eyes off of her for one second. Her cover of “Circle Dance was incredible. I would love it if see decides to record it. We both cried when she sang “Beauty and the Beast” and rocked out on “Stand Back. The Santa Barbara Bowl is a magical place and when you add Stevie Nicks you get Shangri-La. Thank you Stevie for doing what you do and doing it sooooo well. I cannot imagine my life without your songs.
