I found out that Miss Nicks was going to be performing at the legendary Red Rocks, so being a very loyal fan, of course I HAD to get tickets. I had never been to the amphitheatre of legendary rock performances, so my friend (Ralph) and I left our little town in Wyoming and travelled over 400 miles one way to Denver,(where we got lost at midnight.....spooky). The next day, we decided we had better make a trial run to find the venue----great success!! We both stood in awe of the great accoustical creation, and the many, many stairs....lol. So, we left until showtime. We arrived back at Red Rocks about 5:45-------only an hour and 45 min. til showtime!! We took our row 21 seats, at almost center stage, and waited eagerly. About 7:30, this little waif of a girl (Vanessa Carlton) came out and began to play the shiny black piano. Her mic. was a bit on the louder side, but she was very talented and sang many beautiful tunes and also seemed to be able to really connect with members of the audience. She left about 45 minutes later..... Almost time for Stevie!! The Destiny's Child song "Bootilicious" started playing (for those of you who don't know, it has the opening for Edge of Seventeen on it), the crowd really started coming to life. People started clapping and screaming Stevie's name......and we were waiting..... The band started taking the stage----pianist muey bueno Darrell, drummer extraordinaire (next to Mick = ) Taku, background vocal Goddess Sharon, bassist awesome-oso Al, keyboardist cool Denver home-grown Brett, guitar great Carlos, drumming deep from the soul Jimmy "wildhair" , background vocalist fantastica Jana, and of course, the fantabulous guitar God Waddy. Then, from out of the dark, behind the stage set-up, a very familiar blond woman in a frilly, lacey, black (I wish I had that figure) outfit appeared, ready to rock, to a standing crowd of thousands. They were screaming, clapping, whistling, and shouting out their "I/We Love You, Stevie's!!!" The beautiful words of the mystic chanteusse and fun, hippie chick that we all know and love, started pouring out through the various speakers around the amphitheatre. We were all singing along with classics---Beauty and the Beast, Enchanted, Stand Back, Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You, as well as, new one's---Sorcerer and Fall From Grace. But the ultimate fan favorites, as far as the screaming around us, had to be Edge of Seventeen, Dreams and Rhiannon.....and of course, Gold Dust Woman! (Hey, Miss Nicks, if you are reading this, when are you going to release a live version of that? There is nothing more chilling than to hear you belt Gold Dust Woman out there for the masses! You so totally rock that live!!!!) And also there were the Bonnie Raitt and Led Zeppelin cover's that were awesome, too. I think everyone was singing along throughout the whole concert!! Great fun was had by all that attended that night, especially those who were lucky enough to be sitting in the front when Stevie came down to shake hands with them.....VERY lucky people were they!!! I could only wish to be that close to a rock Goddess legend like Stevie... (Hey, maybe someone I know will read this, and get me front row tickets to a Stevie show early for my September 11th birthday......) I can still dream, cuz' Stevie tells me so!!! = ) Stevie, thank you so very much for being you and doing what you do so well!!! And a big thanks to all of you who have helped her do it for us!!! Much Love and Brightest Blessings!

Let me start by saying the whole process of getting tickets was not exactly a bundle of joy rather more like a roller coaster slash fiasco. All I will say is we ended up buying tickets on e-bay. My first time and though I am not keen on people who rook ya, this seller was honest. Nuff said! The night was absolutely wonderful. Stevie hit the stage and mere seconds later the entire rock walled area was wired for sound. Judging by the immediate response from folks all around me, people came to enjoy a Stevie Nicks show! And show she did. The band did the same! I will repeat the usuals and with respect to others who have already shared how great Stevie sounded, looked and performed, I agree. We had heard just before heading to the "Rocks" via a local FM radio station, hosting none other than Ms Nicks in person, just how meaningful and special it was for her to be returning to Red Rocks to play and of course sing. Most of us know, it was at Red Rocks back in `91 that Stevie decided she wanted to get sober. This holds a special meaning for me as well, (I am free to share thanks to freedom) I attended that show and also made a decision to get some sobriety in my own life... I remember how Stevie looked, eyes glazed over and though she sang her heart out, it seemed to me she was just going through some motions. I had to look through binoculars as I had the infamous top row(s) seats. Not last Wednesday. I acutally was seated 5 row (seated for the first few minutes of the show) and could see her much better! Stevie looks so healthy and I dug that she smiled so much. Lordy, if I look that good when I reach that point in my life, I will be smiling just as much! There was so much to celebrate at this show. The band and ladies on the background mics did what they always seem to do... perform alongside Stevie and back her up with some incredibly tight musicianship. As a whole I am never ever disappointed w/Stevies choice of artists who perform with her. Waddy tore it up a couple times and I about fell of the ledge seats when the percussion took off!!! Oh and I must add that there was so much dancing, singing and hollering out of good thangs all around me. I met some fun people and it had been a very long time that I have been around so many smiling, happy and rockin fans who shared one thing in common at that moment in time, we love Stevie and obviously the love was mutual between fans. I could do that at least once a week and find that a pill in a bottle or a beverage in a bottle does not offer a smidgeon of real time fun like one night of Stevie Nicks at Red Rocks.... Return to Red Rocks soon Stevie!!! thanks for a refreshing and sooooooopah doooooopah fun time! OH yeah, I had the sorest throat for two days... and when Stevie sang Rock n Roll, I was shocked... that does not happen often! I dunno what to say cept ... I was blown away at how Stevie handled that song. I hear Stevies voice, for many years now, albums and cd's later... a concert later and I know this much... it is like a good vino or so they say, her voice getsbetter with time or is it all part of the aging process? Whatever the case... KUDOS Stevie .... your voice is still my favourite instrument to listen to as far as vocals are concered! ROCK ON! get to her shows folks!

Gold Dust is the correct name for this summer tour because I felt that there was some sort of magical dust in the air last night at Red Rocks. In fact, I felt like it was 1977 again when I saw Fleetwood Mac for the first time and the energy was just radiating from the band and the fans. I was totally mesmerized by Stevie then, and I am even more mesmerized by her now. In my opinion, Stevie Nicks just continues to evolve and just seems to get better and better with every tour or CD she makes. I used to just love Fleetwood Mac and all of the music she has recorded with them, but I definitely prefer seeing Stevie live with her own band because she seems so happy and free. Waddie Wachell was fantastic on guitar, the background singers were great, and the rhythm section was just dialed in perfect synch. I must admit though that I didn't really pay much attention to the band however because I just couldn't take my eyes off of Stevie. She doesn't miss a note, and she still has a mystical and larger than life persona when she is quickly grabbing her microphone stand (covered in lace), or softly twirling at the end of a song. With her band, she can really push herself to the limits. With Fleetwood Mac it often seemed as though she was competing with Lindsey to play her songs, and she has to hold herself back a bit. But last night, it was perfectly clear who the star on the stage was as Stevie's voice just hit the top of the rocks. I was also just amazed by her graciousness to the fans. I have seen concerts where the musicians never even smile or acknowledge the fans. Stevie, however, started the concert by reminiscing about the time she played at Red Rocks almost 20 years ago. She seemed so humbled by the beauty of Red Rocks, and so proud to be playing there again. She even said, the concert at Red Rocks back then in eighties, was probably her greatest accomplishment. I know that for me, last night was probably my greatest concert experience. My only complaint is that I wish she would try a few more songs live. She has such a huge body of music, but she continues to play the songs that she has been playing live for years. My favorite song at this show was the opener, Enchanted.

Vanessa Carlton, a ballsy young talent nurtured and promoted by Stevie, opened the show with songs from her new album and one or two from her first. White Houses really stood out from the rest. Stevie is right Vanessa is one of these young talents that need to be heard. Rock and Roll is not always about perfect appearance, it's the qualitative content that keeps it alive and thriving. Stevie's near 30 year career in this business is a testiment to this, not to mention the absolute devotion of her diverse fan base. I believe she is beginning to pass the torch... For me, Red Rocks was one of those shows that symbolized a full circle moment for Stevie. Being a devout fan myself, I had to make the journey to experience it with her. What a fabulous show, despite some feedback and a momentary loss of sound! Stevie always surrounds herself with great talent. Doves of a feather... As always Waddy gave a real rock and roll, throw your panties on the stage show...those solos. Edge of Seventeen is such an electric part of the show because of the trifecta solos from Taku, Neal and Waddy. Stevie really gives her band stage time to show off their amazing talents. Stevie's pianist played a beautiful, dramatic intro to Beauty and the Beast. Red Rocks is visibly such an incredible venue and to see nearly 9,000 seats filled with adoring fans all joyously singing along, dancing and basking in Stevie's ambience was incredible. She is timeless. Stevie sang a greatest hits line up. She twirled and showed off the familiar shawls of concerts past. Stevie gave an ever stellar vocal to the operatic Beauty and the Beast. Equally amazing was her energized cover of Led Zepplin's Rock and Roll, in her pants and her top hat... I was also happy to see that Stevie kept Circle Dance in her set list, (but I would have gladly traded it for Sara). The films were only visible on the screen to the right of the stage as the backdrop and surround is the breathtaking, huge red boulders. Stevie is such a gracious performer, always thankful for her audience and her band. We adore her too and are grateful that she has shared so much of herself with us through her poetry, music and her charity. For me, no other poet speaks to the human condition of love as Stevie does. I will never forget the magnificence, majesty and splendor of Stevie Nicks. Thank you for Red Rocks... PS....... I would like to extend a special thanks to Cheryl, Amy and Heidi for enjoying this incredible experience with me (and for making sure I didn't stroke out hiking up to the concert).

I have waited to see Stevie at Red Rocks for about 10 years now. My mom bought me the tape of Stevie at Red Rocks from 86' for me for Easter one year and I have waited patiently for one of her tours to end up there. I have seen her now four times, one of which was with Fleetwood Mac, but anyway this concert was the best I've seen her yet. When she came out on stage you could see the excitement in her smile, when she opened with the first lines of Enchanted and I was on the floor in amazement of how absolutely wonderful her voice sounded. It was clear, confident, and very well arranged to the lower range she is now singing in. She did such a great job organizing the sequence of the set list I really felt like it flowed wonderfully. I was really impressed with the updated sound of the band, although I personally love her more acoustic/ country sound, but I think the show was very appropriately put together concerning the times. Her ending to "Gold Dust Woman" was very impressive and I loved hearing "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You." I cried all the way through "Landslide," because I sang it on that very stage a year ago at my high school graduation. When you stand on the stage it is so powerful, because it looks like the huge rocks are going to fall right on you, so "Landslide" is perfect for Red Rocks. I was close enough to the stage at this show to get up there and give her some Daisies and a card I have wanted to give her since I was 8 or 9 years old, but I have never had the courage to do it, but I did and it was a dream come true. I had a wonderful time and I hope to see her again soon, but if not I will be satisfied with her show at Red Rocks. Peace,

I saw Stevie on July 20th at Red Rocks, Co. It was the most amazing concert at the most amazing place that I have ever seen. I live in Salt Lake City, Ut and drove to Denver the day of the concert. I had 3rd row seats, but there is no bad seat at Red Rocks. I was not a Vanessa Carlton fan until after I saw her play piano and sing solo. She only played about 5 songs and then on came Stevie. She looked and sang beautiful. I saw Fleetwood Mac a couple of years ago and I was disappointed because I don’t think they said one word to the audience, but Stevie talked quite a lot. She said how lucky it is to live in such a beautiful place and that it was one of her favorite places to play. She told the story about a time she was playing at Red Rocks and she was with a “dear friend” that told her this really sad story about someone else. After she left Red Rocks she went home and wrote “front to back, Has anyone ever written anything for you, in 5 weeks”. And then she sang it. At the end of that song she said “They are poets and they are legends”, but I prefer “They are poets and they are priests of nothing and I thought that there was a connection.” Anyway, I don’t know if it was because I was so close to her or because I was at Red Rocks or because of the alcohol, maybe all of the above, but I became a little tearful. Another thing that was so great was that I was surrounded by other Stevie fans that feel the same way that I do. I felt very close to strangers. I had never heard Bonnie Raitte’s song Circle Dance, but Stevie sang it beautifully. Stevie sang Landslide and made the comment that “the song has 9 lives because it keeps coming back”. At the 2nd to last song the first 3 rows ran up to the bars (stage) hoping that Stevie would say Hello. Then I saw her pull her hair back and she walked up to shake our hands. I held her hand for about 5 seconds, but I couldn’t really say anything because I was in awe by her presence. She is so cute and petite. After she passed me everyone was jumping up and down with joy because we were all so happy. Thank you Stevie for giving us a dream come true, it’s something that I will never forget. The last song that she played was Led Zeppelins, Rock and Roll. She sounded great! I’d like to hear her sing it again. No one but Robert Plant could sing it better. I had a great time and I only hope that she will continue to tour, so that I will have another chance to see her sing live. Thanks Stevie and keep on keeping on.

Stevie was absolutely incredible last night. I still get chills thinking about her performance. I had good seats and was fortunate enough to get to the front to shake her hand during The Edge of Seventeen! I hope she knows how much that means to her fans. She has such a genuine, kind spirit. I was so excited that she sang Landslide. WOW! I can't imagine it possible for Stevie to give a better performance or sing more powerfully. I couldn't believe the notes she hit during Beauty and the Beast. She looked beautiful and is definitely better than ever. It was an incredible night. The fans were so nice and even up front at the stage everyone was great! Rumor has it there will be a Return to Red Rocks DVD. We're all praying there will be because last night was magical. Thank you Stevie!!!!

I attended the concert at Red Rocks on 7-20-05. Stevie you have been my very favorite performer since the 1970’s. I haven’t missed any of your concerts in Denver. I met your Aunt in Cripple Creek in 1982 and couldn’t believe all the pictures she had of you all over the place, I tried to purchase one and she told me that she was your Aunt and that none were for sale. I asked you about her in June of 1990 at Red Rocks when you were performing with Fleetwood Mac, after that show you were filming a video Sky’s the limit and I had front row for that show and that’s when you came up to the fans and I spoke to you about your Aunt. The other night when you spoke of the video that you made 20 years ago at Red Rocks I had to run out and purchase this right away, I was at that show and again you gave the Greatest performance. Do you know if I can purchase this on DVD now? I had bought your album Buckingham and Nicks when I was a kid is there any way to purchase this now on CD? I love to see you perform and hope I’ll get to see you again. I love it the best when you perform at Red Rocks!!!! I took my husband to see you at Red Rocks on 7-20-05 as he had never been to a concert at Red Rocks before this night. Thanks for giving us ANOTHER GREAT PERFORMANCE AT RED ROCKS!!! Will you be releasing any more music in the near future. You have a song out there that I’ve only heard in the Mall and don’t know the name but would sure like to be able to purchase this. I would sure like to hear from someday after your done with your tour!!!!! One of your truest fans,
Tim Kjera
Red Rocks, Stevie Nicks, a full moon and the hottest temperature ever recorded in Denver, 105 degrees. You just knew this was going to be a special night - and it was. Never have I seen Stevie looking so good, sounding so good or rocking so hard. Her version of "Edge of Seventeen" had the guitar pulsating between the "Rocks" in perfect synch with what was going on down on stage. I thought Red Rocks was going to launch into orbit like some alien spaceship, and take us all away into the night. Highlights for me were Rhiannon, Stand Back, Gold Dust Woman and Landslide. Stevie's comments about the songs and some of their Colorado connections were touching. In one particular moment, when she draped her gold shawl over Waddy and they merged into one, silouhetted by the overhead spotlight, it appeared to be the outline of a bird with a broken wing. She took my heart away. I stand in awe of a woman who exudes class, taste and decency. On the drive home through the mountains, which were capped in white snow, I couldn't help but reflect back on her words, "and if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills". What a beautiful reflection that is. Rock on Gold Dust Woman.

Let’s see … I first saw you perform 1974 I think in LA. I was at the Red Rocks 1985 concert. I play the songs on piano, guitar, and sax ever since. I brought my girlfriend (25yo) to the 2005 Red Rocks performance. How perfect and beautiful. She was not born yet as of when you first released these songs, but she knew them and understood them. My past wife of 20 years was with us then in spirit, she was at the ’85 concert in person. She loved all of the work you all did as a group and I had to bring her in memory. Cancer survivor for 14 years and died 4 years ago, but I take her to every concert. Your’s was the 6th concert of this year. We like to see only the very best. For me the only comparable was Elton John 1st row side stage, Pepsi center. I’m 49 and grew up with the 70’s RR. You’ve got 2 generations of fans. How cool. I don’t know how long you want to carry on, but if I can, I will come to your concerts with friends. I want to share your experience with as many as possible.

Wow! This was by far the best concert I have ever been to. The first time I have ever been to redrocks for a concert and it happened to be where Stevie was playing. This was such an awesome experience with the location, the artist and the full moon. There were a couple of songs that gave me the chills. The concert set that she picked was just perfect. I even got to shake her hand, which made it even better! She seems to really enjoy meeting her fans. Getting to be that close to Stevie was awesome, I've always wanted to meet her and doing just that much made my day. She sounded awesome and she looked great too. I kind of felt like I was dreaming but I can't explain it exactly. I can't wait until she comes back around!

Grace Slick says "fifty year olds should not be on the rock and roll stage." But even Ms. Slick would take exception to our Stephanie Lynn. The show ROCKED! From the moment Vanessa Carlton introduced herself as Stevie Nicks =:) to the final notes of Beauty and the Beast, no one turned their attention from the stage (the exception being when the huge orange full moon poked itself through the clouds to celebrate the return of our magical enchantress, that sight could not be ignored!). The diversity of the audience speaks volumes about the influence Stevie has, about the generations she has touched, the people she reaches. The crowd loved her, her band loves her, and Red Rocks loves her. Stevie started the show with a huge, elegant bow, paying her respects to the night and the energy that filled it. There was everything one comes to expect from Stevie's show: the costume changes, the lights, the guitar rifts, her girls on background vocals, the high kick, the twirls, the shawls, the beautiful piano, the outrageous drums and percussion, and the projected images of her life. But, only at Red Rocks could these pictures mold themselves to the rock formations behind the stage, surreal. Only at Red Rocks is the energy of the show enhanced by the magic of the venue, and no one knows that better than Stevie. By now, everyone knows the song list and how tight the band is. I'm not going through every song or costume change or drum solo, go see the show. All I can say is, Stevie looks and sounds better than ever; she's sexier, healthier and as beautiful as she can be. I've been a fan for almost 30 years. . . . through all the ups and downs. I've seen all the shows. We're definitely on an 'up'. It doesn't get any better than this, folks. A friend came with me, a Stevie 'virgin', and could only say "magical." Rock on Gold Dust Woman. Let me say it again, go see the show.

What an amazing show! Red Rocks Amphitheater is an absolutely beautiful venue. I've been to many concerts but never had the privilege to visit Red Rocks. I had to travel 2 hours to get there. I was at opening night in Vegas to see Stevie and was so glad to hear she was coming to Denver. Stevie was incredible as always! She seemed to be really excited to be at Red Rocks and looked so gorgeous!. It was a perfect night, beautiful weather all night. Venessa opened and is a very talented young lady. She was also very funny and a delight to watch. The sound was the best! The pictures against the rock, looked so amazing. It added so much to the show. I was overwhelmed to be at Red Rocks watching Stevie! Thanks to Stevie and her incredible band for making it such a memorable evening. I hope she returns to Denver soon. WE LOVE YOU STEVIE!!!!

Having been to many concerts in my life and especially to several at the famous Red Rocks Ampitheatre in Morrison, CO, Stevie Nicks absolutely wrote a new page for the history books in Denver concert lore. We were lucky enough to have 8th row tickets just left of center. The concert opened with a beautiful young woman walking on stage to play the piano. I did not know it was Vanessa Carlton. Didn't know who she was although I had heard one of her songs before. She was incredible. The accoustics in Red Rocks are extraordinary. Her piano playing was brilliant and the songs she played were amazing - mostly off of her new album Harmonium. A wonderful treat. Then Stevie Nicks entered the stage and I was stunned. She hasn't aged in 20 years! She looked so good but what was even more incredible was her voice - better than ever! She played tons of her old favorites - Gold dust woman, Stand Back, Beauty and the Beast and many more. But the real treat was extended versions of Rhiannon and Edge of Seventeen. WOW!! I mean WOW! Incredible music. Great energy. So much fun. Memories for a lifetime. THANK YOU NICKI AND VANESSA for a simply unforgettable experience. It was truly one for the ages.

I am SPEECHLESS tonight...but I can write! The last time I saw Stevie solo at Red Rocks in Colorado was in 85-86 on the "Rock A Little" Tour and a few weeks later for the filming of "Stevie at Red Rocks". Tonight was very special as it marked her return to the beautiful and sacred stone palace she has yearned to perform in for years since 1986. As the band took the stage to a cover version of "Dreams" the audience was frenzied and ready. "Enchanted" opened the set and had all of us on our feet and singing along. It was good to see Waddy Wachtel in the band and singing the Petty portion of "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" as he did when I saw Stevie on the Bella Donna tour in Boulder in 1982. I was personally ecstatic when I heard the opening chords of "Sorcerer". "Stand Back" was a tour de force with the flood lights hitting the crowd and keeping everyone on their feet. When Stevie performed "Circle Dance" by bonnie Raitt (I have to admit that I have never heard the song) I had to sit down and collect myself as she brought me to tears with her rendition. "Fall From Grace" was as intense as it is on Cd. Under the stars with a great audience vibe, Red Rocks in Colorado was the place to be tonight!! Thanks for coming home Stevie!

She is the kind of woman that will haunt you.. How awesome was this show. She loved being at Red Rocks and even mentioned that she loved playing here in Colorado. She seemed really into the environment and loving it. I have seen her once before on her own and a couple of times with FM. I must say how much cooler the shows are with just her. YOU CAN'T EVEN STAND UP OR DANCE AT A FM CONCERT. The crowd here was very cool and we were all dancing and singing along. Stevie is way cooler by herself. I love her so. I cried when she took stage. I really loved "Rhiannon" and "Edge of Seventeen". She sounded incredible. It was my best Stevie show. Thanks!! :)

Oh My GOD!! Went to Red Rocks last nite on a whim. Not a real fan, but always liked listening to her stuff. Well my friends, I am a Convert!! She was awesome! Great Band, Great setlist, Great vibe from the crowd, Great weather, 15th row dead center. I always like to score my shows, and she's getting a 9.995!!! I live out here so I see a lot of music at the greatest venue on the planet, and Stevie put it right up there with some of my best shows. They all seem to like playing at this place, and we all like listening!!! Great job Stevie and crew, we will see you again I'm sure!

Wow!! The show tonight at Red Rocks was a truly spiritual experience! To see Stevie Nicks- live - at Red Rocks - under the stars- under the full moon- it just doesn't get any better than this! What a spiritual diva! Stevie's haunting voice filled the whole amphitheater and beyond- to the stars and to the full moon. She magically twirled under the moonlight in her black leather boots and her sexy lace shirts ('leather & lace') .....gold and black. glitter and sequins- sparkles were everywhere- like brilliant diamonds, and they were reflecting all around! And the lights and shadows were flickering wickedly off of the mystical red rocks. WOW!!! Stevie was full of energy and at her ultimate best. Rhiannon was very magical and spiritual. Witchy!! Edge of Seventeen was absolutely amazing. Chilling! Gold Dust Woman- Spectacular! Stevie twirled around and around in black and shimmering gold - dancing lights and glitters everywhere. Also- there were 'nightbirds' flying around the red rocks -and near the stage. My boyfriend pointed out that those 'birds' were BATS! Soooo......Stevie Nicks, the witchy goddess herself, PLUS a full moon, the mystical red rocks- AND creepy bats flying around! What a totally enchanting evening!!!!!! Stevie Nicks is and will always be THE goddess! She graciously signed so many autographs and shook the fans' hands, etc...there were TONS of people rushing up to her-- to catch a glimpse, give her flowers, hug her/ shake her hand, and get an autograph. I thought that was such a nice and gracious gesture to do! Since many entertainers don't do that. This really shows how much Stevie really cares about people and about her fans. Her fans absolutely LOVE and ADORE her! ......By the way (this is off the topic) -- Is it true that an Aunt of Stevie's once owned the old haunted and historic Palace Hotel up in Cripple Creek, CO? I read about that in one of my many ghost and hauntings books. Thanks, Love and cheer,
Mitch Wright
In a word, wow. This was an outstanding performance, great set list, brilliantly paced and staged … set at the incomparable Red Rocks Amphitheatre on a warm, full moon night. I’ve never heard Stevie in such good voice. On some songs she sounded stronger tonight than she did on the original recordings. The Fleetwood Mac songs were performed brilliantly, along with Stevie’s solo material and covers. There are any number of other Nicks compositions I’d have loved to hear – Sara, Sisters of the Moon, Beautiful Child and so on – but maybe next time. My only serious complaint has nothing to do with the performance, but rather, some member of the audience. Many people talked loudly throughout Vanessa Carlton’s set, and continued talking – virtually shouting at times – during Stevie’s set. There were incessant talkers both in front and behind me, acting as though they were at home watching a video. That was extremely distracting and annoying, and I almost wish artists would start making an announcement before the show reminding people to be considerate … and turn off their damn cell phones.

It is after 1:00 a.m. and we just returned home from a fantastic Stevie Nicks concert at Red Rocks in Colorado. This was the first time I have seen her in concert but well worth the 30-year wait. Not only can she belt out the songs and write lyrics that touch so many people of all ages in so many different ways, she is a great entertainer with the rare quality of being original. Many talk about the "connection" her fans feel to her and her music but this concert displayed the connection Stevie has with the world. As she sang "Rhiannon" the almost full moon, huge and orange started peeking through the heavy cloud covering. By the next song, "Sorcerer", the moon, still huge and a golden orange was appropriately fully visible with a thin dark cloud across the middle of it. What a perfect backdrop in the beautiful Red Rocks setting. People were joking about Stevie's awesome special effects. I just wish she could have seen what her fans witnessed. It was amazing, bewitching and beautiful, just like her. Thank you Stevie for coming back to Red Rocks!
